Eight Fashion Mistakes to Avoid for Spring 2008

As the season turns towards short Maxi dresses and leopard-print sandals, you'll need to do away with Fall's chunky knits and stow away that python clutch. Spring 2008 calls for a dramatic shift towards bright and bold colors in oversized accessories, flapper dresses from the '20s, and begs you to sport a Fedora hat or two. If you're anxious to get into trendsetting mode this season, you'll want to steer clear of the biggest fashion 'don'ts.' They can be easy to overlook, but here are eight fashion mistakes to avoid for Spring 2008

Dear Friends,
Did you know March is designated as Womens History Month?
In fact, there is a non-profit organization called National Women's History Project (NWHP) that was formed to honor women and their contributions to our history.
In 1987 the NWHP petitioned congress to expand the national celebration to the entire month of March to "ensure the history of American women will be recognized and celebrated in schools, workplaces, and communities throughout the country."

I have reflected on the many women in history as well as those in my circle of strength who have influenced my life. I am grateful and blessed to be amoung the company of amazing women. So let's take a moment to honor women in history this month and remember those who have gone before us to blaze trails of opportunity for us today.

Me Time!

As women we portray many roles and wear many hats. Although, we are only one body, one mind, and one soul, life sees us as more (superwomen with multiples) and    unfortunately, tends to throw barrels of stones in our pathway, challenging our capabilities and stability daily. Because, we spend so much time trying to dodge these stones, balance family and work and all the in between, we tend to drain our mental and physical being, which inhibits us from performing at our best.

Our reward, nervous breakdown, exhaustion, diminished work performance, and gray hair.  Women, it's time to think about YOU.  If you're over worked or stressed out, how can you be useful in life and achieve your goals.  Health is foremost the most important thing in living.  Take care of your mental and physical by taking ME TIME.  After my trip to the hospital for exhaustion, I immediately demanded ME TIME.  Every Friday I take ME TIME.  I do what I want on this day.  It maybe a trip to the mall, lunch alone or with friends, a visit to the spa, or just relax with a book.  I don't schedule appointments on this day or turn on my computer (unless I'm on a deadline).   ME TIME has allowed me to be more productive in my many roles and see the bigger picture in life.

Make an agreement with yourself to take one-day or just three hours of that day and make it your ME TIME.  There has to be a balance in your life, which allows you to stay in control mentally so you can perform physically.
